Hankering for Yarn

Tottie thought, when she met Phineas, that she had found the love of her life.

Little did she know that she would soon meet another love of her life…. one who would turn her world completely around and make it new for her.

And, that is her daughter, Dottie.

Tottie looks at Dottie and is awestruck by the power of love.

Indeed, motherhood does suit Tottie….. yes….. yes

What a good mother dear Tottie is and it was so nice to see a close up of dear Dottie. I can see why Tottie loves her so and finds motherhood so satisfying to such a precious baby!!! Marianne with hugs

Ah, thank you so much, Marianne! To be perfectly honest, I was moved to tell this little story because I was feeling especially close to my children. (I consider my daughter and son’s partners to be ~my~ children, now, too….)
We had had a birthday party at our house, and our daughter and her husband, and our son and his wife were all here, and it was pure delight. I was basking in the love and pleasure of their company.

My beloved daughter-in-law surprised me by telling me that she has done something very special for me. She has painted a tiny portrait of Dottie! She decided that Tottie and Phineas need a portrait of their baby. I haven’t seen it yet, as they are bringing it out to the farm this upcoming weekend. I am so touched by this. It means the world.

So, because I was thinking such loving thoughts of all four of my children (the 2 I gave birth to, and the 2 I was blessed with by their marriages), I found it spilled into the way Tottie was feeling about Dottie!

So…. there you have it…. the story of this story!
