That’s my spool knitted heart!
Harlequin Romances is giving away the Spool knitted Heart that I designed and made. It’s on the cover of one of their new books.
Here’s the link to enter the contest to win the heart:
The design credit for the heart is listed in the rules and regulations.
Good luck! Hope one of my blog readers wins it!
Happy Hearts………. :o)

Noreen,
The Heart is just wonderful. But the contest rules are so arcane. Why does “potential Canadian winner must correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question to be administered by mail”???? Inquiring minds want to know.

Hi Wendy
I honestly don’t know about this…. but somebody somewhere probably said they had to.
Hmmm…. hopefully, the mathematical question will ‘come from the heart’! *G*

Congratulations Noreen! I’m delighted for you and look forward to seeing the Harlequin book cover.
As for the poor Canadians who have to “correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question to be administered by mail” to be eligible to win the heart, my guess is the Canadian government feels its populace should upgrade its math skills. LOL!

Thanks so much, Eileen :o)
The math quiz is kind of funny, isn’t it? There’s a puritanical streak about it: You can’t possibly deserve to just -win- something….. you have to STRUGGLE for it and EARN it! ROTFLOL!!!
(BTW, I’m Canadian, so I am not making a culturally inappropriate joke here…. it’s very Canadian to joke about daily absurdities)

Why does “potential Canadian winner must correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question to be administered by mail”???? Inquiring minds want to know.
There is some kind of rule in Canada that you cannot win a contest without being able to answer a math question. It could be as simple as 2+14×2= ….. But they have to ask something….
