Spool knitter: Polka dot dancing
So….. I was working on this brilliant, well, okay, kinda neat idea for a new project for the blog today.
And, it went frrrrrrrrrrrrrritttttttttttzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Ah, phoo! Hours of work down the tubes. phhhhhhooooo.
So, instead, I’ll tell you about something I AM pleased about.
I just love these spool knitters that Jim and I are making.
They’re spoolknitters, but also can be doll heads or puppets if you pop it on your finger.
My friend, Maitri and I were laughing about favorite dresses from our adolescence. I had a red dress with white polka dots. I LOVED that dress. Maitri remembers fondly, a little number with white dots on orange.
So, I had to make a spool knitter with polka dots. And, flowers, too….
I am willing to bet that when my daughter sees it, she’ll say:
‘Mum! You borrowed my face again!’
What can I say? I started drawing her before she was even born. I’m not about to stop now….
