Spool knitted Kittycat Bookmark- 2

The previous entry showed how to spool knit the kitty’s tail, which is the business part of the bookmark.

and now: How to Spool knit the Kittycat’s Body © Noreen Crone-Findlay

Spool knit back and forth for 2 inches (5 cm) to make a flat piece rather than a cord for the body.

Fold the body over your finger and stitch the tail to the back of the body.

Stitch the sides of the body closed. Stitch the top edge closed.

Pinch the upper corners to shape the ears. Stitch through the upper corners to shape the ears. It takes several stitches on each ear to sculpt them.

Arms and Legs:

Make a long loop stitch for each of the arms and legs. (Stitch through the body, leaving a loop for each of the kitty’s arms/legs).

Put a dab of glue on each loop and twist and pinch to shape the arms and legs.
