Thank you thank you thank you Maitri!
I am really delighted with the Celtic Interlace Valentine Hearts. Sometimes it’s the simplest thing that just has so much impact!
I am going to make one (or ten) with handspun yarn, too…..
love and hugs back atcha

Hi Noreen — THANK YOU! Ten minutes after I saw this, I was getting out the wire. I’m going to use mine in a ‘Guerilla Heart’ project on Valentine’s Day. If you’d like to see mine, I uploaded a picture on my Ravelry projects. Love, love, love this!
Love,
Zann

Noreen -
I love the idea of this heart so much that had to run out and get the perfect yarn for it! (well, I didn’t really have to run out, but any excuse…)
I love Celtic knotwork, and after making the heart in only a couple of hours, it occurred to me that I could make other knotwork creations using the same method. I have several books on Celtic knotwork, and I was thinking of making some up and with some kind of beautiful fabric for the background, tasking the design to the fabric and framing it. If I left out the wire I could do the same thing, like trimming pillows, but the wire gives it a nice foundation.
Feel free to use the idea! I smashed my hand at work yesterday, no broken bones, just sore, but it means I have to watch rather than create this weekend (boo, hiss). But I wanted to pass this along, as you inspire me constantly with your wonderful creations.
Hugs - Tammy

Hi Tammy
Oh, ouch ouch ouch on your poor hand!
And, I hope it heals up really quickly! Time to indulge in some recreational reading!
Yes, indeed, spool knitting does lend itself really well to Celtic interlaces. This is a technique that I have used for a long time and include it in lots of the workshops that I teach.
It’s sooooooooooooo much fun!
Get well soon, and have a really restorative weekend!
