Sourcing Silk for spinning for the Crocheted Butterfly Shawl

People have been asking me for sources for silk to spin.
So, I did some looking on the web.
http://www.woolery.com/Pages/fibers.html#exotic
looks scrumptious, and they assured me that everything on the site is available.
And, when I wrote to Treenway Silks
http://www.treenwaysilks.com/fibres.html
I learned that not only do they have their splendiferous silks, but, there’s a great tutorial page:
http://www.treenwaysilks.com/inout_spinning.html
and they like to feature photos of people’s work on their site, if people have used their silks.

The tutorial is focused on wheel spinning, but also has lots of great info that is transferable to spindle spinning. (If you are a spindle spinner. Which is how I mostly spin.)
Spin spin spin!
That reminds me of a fragment of a Rumi poem:
I think it goes:
‘we came whirling out of nothingness,
scattering stars like dust………”
Must find that again…….
Happy spinning everyone!
hugs all round
