Toe Up Socks
I keep reading about this technique for making socks that supposedly is easier and faster than the standard cuff-down method. I personally have never tried this technique, but it looks intriguing.
I searched out a few patterns with explanations on the technique for you to try. It might be a good one to attempt with the Knitting Olympics this year.
One of the definite attractions I can see for the “toe-up” sock, is that you can adjust size as you knit. This could be the answer for the person who has some special fitting needs.
Take a look at these patterns. I hope you enjoy them and find them useful! Oh, I almost forgot - these patterns are free!
