Hankering for Yarn

Snow in October, great new yarns and update on small brown dog

by Noreen on October 16th, 2006

This morning, we woke up to snow, and it snowed all day

It’s waaaaaaaaaaaay colder than normal, but, it’s also really pretty……..

I work with yarn all year long, but cold weather makes it feel more appropriate- here are a couple of new yarns that I am liking a lot:

Caron’s new Shadows and Tweeds. I know I have been singing their praises, but I really like them.

and Moda Dea’s Cheerio

Moda Dea’s Swerve

are totally yummy, too.

And, now for the update on our little munchkin:

I took this picture a couple of minutes ago, just after he had kicked the Newfie off his bed. He’s really on the mend! It’s clear that everything together is working!:  The Reiki and Quantum Healing work that a friend is doing on him, the energy work that Jim and I (and other people, too) along with the meds from the vet- it’s all good! We are so relieved!
Happy dancing.

:)

hugs and thanks

LOL! We’re somewhat surprised by the early arrival of winter, but appreciate the beauty of it. Besides, it’s a great excuse to layer up in ‘woolies’!
    Warm hugs from the fireside!

The spoolie of The Goddess Lana does her justice, she will so enjoy the story of Jim and his astonishment when he saw her, I know my husband Mike laughed at that one. And to think she was saved in your computer for such a long time! She will always bring back memories of our felting trip to Spain…I shall send her spoolie photo off to Spain. Thanks Noreen and Jim….
