Puppets for Peace

Something that I haven’t talked about much on this blog is that I am a professional puppeteer. I am currently on a break from performing, as I got burned out by decades of intense one woman shows.

And, now, my daughter is a professional puppeteer, and we speak daily about how her shows are going…… chuckling together over delightful moments, commiserating over difficult situations -
and from time to time, we talk about working together in the future. That delights me…….

Anyhow, what brought up the puppetry thread for me tonight was seeing a film on PBS. It was a wonderful documentary about the people at Sesame Street who are working with filmmakers and puppeteers in troubled countries. They are working at creating peace in a respectful, loving and compassionate way. The level of integrity, committment and generosity of spirit that they are living is a beacon of hope and a joy to witness.

Bless their hearts, and oh, how I wish them the greatest of continued successes! May they continue to sow the seeds of peace…………

yes!
hugs all round,
peace……..
