part two of ‘friendship bracelets for adults’

I promised I would post part two!

Now that you have the weird little spiral of knots (how is that going to work?!) we need to iron it to form a curve.  Curves work much better than spirals for laying flat on your neck!  The beauty of this pattern is that it actually forms a curve, so when you iron it - it looks like this:


I finished this off by knotting the ends, trimming them closely and dabbing the knots with glue.  After the glue dried I ran a length of beading wire through each knot and crimped the end.  I decided to use some Bali silver beads and seed beads to finsh the necklace with.  I stitched the pendant on using the same silk floss and knotting it behind the pendant:

There are so many options for using knotting techniques like this - I’m doing some experiments with sari yarn… we’ll see how it turns out!
