Knitting bags-4

I sketched, and measured, and sketched some more.

It struck me: I never liked the lack of handles on my folding knitting bags. Why not add handles?

And then, off to the workshop to cut out, sand, drill, sand, glue, hammer, sand……

I had a completely blissful evening in the workshop and am tickled pink with the frame for the knitting bag:

It had a few tricky moments, but it was pure delight to make.

and….. the kitty approves:

My first thought was to paint it lime green.

Then I thought…. black………

but Jim just suggested white, because there are white flecks in the fabric.

I love that! And…. I am thinking of using some of the old white buttons from Grandma’s button jar to embellish it.

Time to grab a paint brush!
