How to spoolknit video
Earlier in the month, my son and I spent the day shooting tutorial videos.
He started editing them and was making great progress.
Can you feel the rumbles of doom starting to shake in the distance? Cue the rumbles of doom……
Yep. Boom. Crash. The ‘Crash’ was his computer. Ack!
Wailie wailie!
But now after much gnashing and fashing, his computer has returned from the dead, and I am pleased to be able to share with you the first little video.
We’re working on a series of videos to answer ‘FAQ’, and so here’s the first ‘Frequently Asked Question’:

Noreen, this is so clear and easy to follow - thank you. This means I don’t have to rely on my faulty memory when I use my beautiful Crone-Findlay spool knitter. You’re a gem!

How to Spool knit pants for Merrie Sunshine and her dolly friends

[…] Grab a ball of Lion Brand Cotton in Lime, and a 7 or 8 peg spoolie. I designed the pants to be drawstring yoga style pants. So, first of all, with 2 pegs and a single strand of yarn, make a drawstring that is about 16 inches long, so it wraps around the waist and is long enough to tie a bow. Then, on all 7 pegs with 2 strands of yarn held together, work the first pant leg, beginning at the ankle and working in the round to the crotch, which is 8 rounds. If you need help figuring out how to spoolknit in the round, then check out my video tutorial […]
