Hankering for Yarn

Home from the Knit and Crochet Conference-Flying in bad weather with farting passengers

by Noreen on July 18th, 2007

My head is spinning. I am trying to catch up to a million things all at once…..

(so much inspiration, need more hours in a day!)

The trip home had some fairly challenging moments.

Flying through serious turbulence in a teeny, horrible old Beechcraft (aka: Screechcraft) was intense, to say the least.

Also, one of the other passengers had eaten something that didn’t agree with them, and had VERY bad gas. We all were painfully aware of it. (EEGADS!)

It was right up there with our greyhound  eating horse poop and belching and pooting it afterwards. We all turn green.

Anyhow, there we were, storm tossed, with heads whipping and stomachs churning…….. ugh….. not so much fun.

The flight was late getting into Toronto, and I arrived just as my connecting flight was boarding.

Customs is seldom fun, and this time, I ended up with the snottiest little so and so as my ‘welcome home’. Grrrrrrrrr.

Obnoxious little twit! Some day, I hope that she will receive the treatment that she dished out to me! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

And then there was the security screening (again)…. as much as I hate to say it: Some people are really, really stupid.

Not the poor security people who are working in difficult situations, but there were a couple of stunned travellers who  made life very difficult for the rest of us………. oh, my………… oh my……….

Anyhow………after another mad gallop through the airport,  I was thrilled to make my connection, and the next one, too. Even though the storms made it a rough passage, I made it home safe and sound.   ahhhhhhhh!

Oh my, this has gone on and on…. I’ll start again, and upload some pics, too…..

Home is soooooooooooo good……..

hugs all round,

Noreen   :D
