Hairpin Lace for Crocheters
Knitters probably aren’t familiar with the word, “hairpin” as it applies to lacemaking. But most crocheters know about it, even if they haven’t tried it yet. If you crochet, and haven’t made anything with hairpin lace, you have got to try it! It is so much fun and the results are so incredibly feminine. New thiings are being designed with hairpin lace and they are gorgeous.
This is one example of a hairpin lace pattern. It is a free pattern and it is stunning. It is just a step beyond beautiful. There is something about a hairpin lace shawl (or other garment) that makes you feel different when you wear it.
It is all about romance, femininity, and beauty. Take a look. I can’t think you wouldn’t want to make this!

This technique of crochet is not difficult. Like all things, it feels a bit strange at first, but pretty soon you will be working it so fast, you won’t believe it. I learned years ago, and I had it down in just a few minutes. It’s fun - try it!
