It began with an odd request
So, I got out my spool knitter
and started the bookmark
Then, I shaped Rattie’s head
and body
And there you have it -
A spool knitted bookmark to
celebrate the Year of the Rat.

Okay, so Rattie’s head is done.
Time to make the body.
Thread the yarn at the end of the tail into a darning needle and take it through the body right next to the neck wraps.
Ease it up into a loop for the body.
Stitch the bottom by taking the tail right through the folded body loop.
