It began with an odd request
 
So, I got out my spool knitter
and started the bookmark
 
Then, I shaped Rattie’s head 
 
and body
 
And there you have it -

Spool knitted Rat Bookmark -3

 Okay, so Rattie’s head is done.
Time to make the body.

Thread the yarn at the end of the tail into a darning needle and take it through the body right next to the neck wraps.
 

Ease it up into a loop for the body.

 In my last posting, I showed how I shaped the spool knitting to make the spool knitted rat bookmark.
Here’s how I made the head of the rat.
