Earth Day - Crocheted Market Bag

We’re big ‘greenies’.  We always carry our own cloth or crocheted grocery bags.
So, to celebrate Earth Day, I want to invite people to whip up some market bags to be oh so handy while they take care of the earth!

Here’s the link for […]

Embellished Crochet book

Woohoo!

Embellished Crochet is  out- yay!
I haven’t received my copy yet, but I went to Amazon.com to take a peek at it, and am tickled pink to see that 2 of my designs are on the front cover  (the beaded scarf and the beaded bracelets) and 2 more are on the back cover (the bag with […]

Live Earth: Market Bags are a really good, green idea

I was so pleased with the effort that went into creating the Live Earth concert over the weekend. I’ve been working on environmental issues for decades.
As well as being a designer, I am also a professional puppeteer. I spent 15 years performing puppet shows to grades 1, 2 and 3, on taking good care […]

Butterfly Bag Crochet along-20- lining and stabilizing

It feels like the butterfly bag needs to be stabilized, so I am cutting plastic needlepoint mesh into the shape of the front and back of the bag. I’ve cut out the lining, and will get the lining stitched, and then the bag itself.

I’ll slip the mesh between the lining and the bag after the […]

Butterfly Bag Crochet along/spoolknit along-3-lining
