Recycling Woven scraps -3- Butterfly shirt!

My last posting was about stitching the butterfly outline.

Recycling Woven scraps -2

In my previous posting, I got started with reclaiming a woven scrap to embellish a Tshirt.

I drew a butterfly, then layered the drawing on top of the scrap of reclaimed weaving….

Next, I cut the excess weaving away, and pinned the drawing and weaving to the WRONG side of the Tshirt front.

I am passionate about butterflies. I am constantly designing homages to them in crochet, weaving, knitting, (see yesterday’s entry for a knitted Butterfly Bag), spool knitting, tatting, sewing, you name it. The picture above is a butterfly that is part of a […]

Jane Austen and the Panda Bears

What on earth does Jane Austen have to do with Panda Bears?
Here’s the scoop - I have been working on a new Jane Austen spool knitter for weeks now.
It really hasn’t gone well. I have drawn the face at least 7 times, and each time, I have ended up sanding it off the spool knitter. […]
