Butterfly Bag Crochet along-22-The Handle
Oh my word, I can’t believe how much work this bag has been! But, worth it! I just love it.
I decided that it needed a handle, so, I took 60 inches of 1/4 inch diameter acquarium clear plastic tubing, and stitched buttons on the ends.
and then, I worked about a million sc (single crochet) over the tubing.
And, stitched the handles to the bag:
AND NOW! I am doing the happy dance!
The pics don’t do it justice. I’ll have it with me at the Knit and Crochet Show this summer, so if you’ll be there, I’ll be happy to show it to you!
In the meantime, I need to get back to work on class projects and the things I am making for the fashion show!
Woohoo! skippetty hop!

thanks!

what an absolutely great IDEA Noreen! a great way to keep the handle from stretching!

Thanks so much, Karen! I really puzzled over this one. I wanted the handle to be really strong, but also to look slender and elegant….. without stretching endlessly. I am so pleased with the way it turned out……. very strong!
