Blogiversary bracelets
Yesterday, I posted about the ‘Blogiversary Bracelets’ that
I made to celebrate my daughter, Chloë’s and my blogiversary of our blogging for 2 years for b5.
We drove to their house for dinner last night - through a storm of epic proportions. Whew!~ visibility at one point was zero. We had to pull off the road because we could not see through the rain! ugh…..
Anyhow… I was pleased that Chloë likes the freeform Recycled Ruffle Cuff bracelets that I made for us from recycled wood:
LOL… I just noticed that the photo makes our fingers look verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry short. Ah well… c’est la vie!

Hi, I love those wood bracelets.
So beautiful and the stones show up also or maybe that is paint.
I live in Alaska and just joined this group, so far I cannot stay off my computer to read all the posts.
I crochet and just learning knitting for a year now.
What kind of wood did you use?

Hi Pauline
Thank you so much!
The bracelets aren’t painted… those are beads and stones :o) I don’t really know what kind of wood they are made from! LOL! I used the bottoms of drawers from an old desk that my husband’s Dad made for him when he was little. The desk fell apart, but we saved the bottoms of the drawers, and I have been using them to make bag handles and the bracelets. :o)
Hope you continue to enjoy all the marvels of the freefrom group!

Thank you Noreen,
The stones are so pretty too and what a great idea to use up those drawer’s like you did.
Did you also wood burn on the bracelet?
Thanks again for replying.
I have been real sick but much better today with infection in my lungs from a bad cold which started it all.
When I get time I will post the pictures of my dolls that I dressed up when I was 21 years old too. I have lots of old crochet books.
