b5 Artist’s Showcase for June 2007: Weddings

This month’s artist’s showcase for the b5 Arts and Design channel has the theme: Weddings

Mary Emma is hosting the showcase.

This is the summer of the wedding for our family.

Our son got married in May. It was sooooooo beautiful!

May Wedding

I made the kilts

for him and Jim

and wove the flashes for the stockings of the 4 men in kilts

Kilts and hose

and crocheted the trim for my darlin’ daughter-in-law’s shawl:

Our daughter is getting married in August.

I spun the silk and crocheted her shawl:

I am weaving the strips for my wonderful almost-son-in-law’s vest (and the vest for their ring bearer, their adorable little dog)

We’ve been folding Origami Butterflies like mad …..

and I have been Tatting Butterflies for her dress….

Weddings are very good for the soul!

I feel so blessed. We love our daughter and son beyond words, and they have given us another son and another daughter that we love and cherish. That’s the way it’s supposed to be.

I am so lucky………
