This is Too Cute - Crochet Pillowghan

by Adelle Tilton on January 24th, 2006

When I go to make an afghan, which isn’t very often, I usually choose to knit one. But every now and again, I find one that is crocheted that is hard to resist. I was doing so well! I only had two in the queue to crochet - now I have three.

The Pillowghan is an afghan that is made in squares and then has this nifty little way to fold it up into a pillow. Voila! No more problems with “where do I put the afghan?”

There are four choices of squares that you can make. I love the Irish Rose and the Pineapple Granny. Without a doubt, the other two will appeal to others as well.

On thinking about it - wouldn’t this make a great Christmas gift? Start it now and finish early - there are only 28 12-inch squares. And that also makes it a great take-along project.

Don’t forget - I want photos!!
