I have been photographing, editing, photoshopping and writing like mad all day, and I have completed the first pdf for the Wishing Windows Loom….
So, it’s ready to be sent out. There are a heap more that I am working on, and if workshop participants drop me a note, I will start sending them out.
The first […]

I was so excited to see Dee’s pics of the fashion show at the Knit and Crochet Conference
I was modelling in the show, and was fairly busy backstage, so I didn’t get to see most of the pieces. So, I am tickled pink to be able to see the garments and accessories.
Click on the pic […]

Because of the crazy combination of circumstances in my life over the last 6 months (many deaths and both our kids getting married), it’s been a mad scramble for me. I wasn’t able to get the pdf’s done before I went off to the CGOA conference. So, I am working my whirlies into twirlies to […]

I was just delighted to meet up with one of my email friends, Pirkko, at the Knit and Crochet Show.
Pirkko and I have been email buddies for years, and it was such a treat to meet her. And, my camera was not functioning (dead batteries, phoo), so I don’t have a pic of us […]

Jim, my wunnerful husband, is a fab jazz musician. He now plays most of his gigs, while wearing the kilt I made him for our son’s wedding.
(Because I ask him to, because he looks so sexy in it, that’s why).
(and nope, he doesn’t play Celtic, even though he ~is~ Celtic).

I love ~a lot~, […]

Over and over, people in the UK write to me and say:
:( There is ~nobody~ teaching crochet here! :(
Actually, that’s not true. One of the neatest people you’ll ever meet is based in Britain.
Her name is Pauline Turner, and she’s a dynamo. She’s an author, a teacher, a visionary.
Here’s her website:

To know her […]

At lunchtime on Friday at the Knit and Crochet show, I had lunch with some friends. (The hotel has a very good bistro!)
This is one of the great joys of the Knit and Crochet show: Getting together with friends to catch up with each other and share the love of crochet!
After lunch, my friend, Gwen
and […]

On Friday, I was walking towards the Marketplace (ah, heaven!). Two young salesmen type guys were coming into the convention center and spotted the sign:
Knit and Crochet Show.
One of them snorted and made a rude comment about it.
The other one, as they walked past me, said:
Well, I really like what she’s wearing.
And the first guy […]

My head is spinning. I am trying to catch up to a million things all at once…..
(so much inspiration, need more hours in a day!)
The trip home had some fairly challenging moments.
Flying through serious turbulence in a teeny, horrible old Beechcraft (aka: Screechcraft) was intense, to say the least.
Also, one of the other passengers had […]
