Adopting a rescued baby horse-2

Nanci came over to do the home visit (after checking up on our references, and luckily, both our Vets like us! Yay!)
We immediately liked her - she’s just great! And, went, WOW! after a few minute’s conversation.
She had her Boxer dogs with her in her car. We brought up that our daughter-in-law’s Mom (Gail) does […]

Horsing Around- Adopting a rescued horse 1

If you had told me a week ago, that we would have our old mare die on Tuesday, and be adopting a rescued baby horse by Friday, I would have gone slack jawed.
I don’t like rushing into adopting an animal companion.
BUT, our old boy, Red:

was in dire straits after his big sister died on […]

Requiem

Today (well, by the time I get this posted, it will be ‘yesterday’) was a horrible day.
Our beautiful old Morgan mare became very sick, and the vet said we had to let her cross the rainbow bridge.
Enough already.
Since last August 7, our sweet cat died,

Jim’s sister died,
our  dear old dog died,

Jim’s Mum died,
and now our […]

Retro crochet

Retro Home Decor

Description

Oho! I haven’t seen this in ‘real life’ yet, but that’s my design for the room divider, and I designed a shag rug and a ‘flower power’ pillow for Caron yarns, so I suspect that those might be my designs in there, too…..
I’ll have to track down a copy of the […]

Have Loom Will Travel

For my entire adult life, I have been passionate about small loom weaving. I find weaving on small looms to be utterly delight filled and totally inspiring.
Because of this love, I design all kinds of projects for small loom weaving.

See: Woven Finger Puppets

and: Potholder Loom Weaving

and also click on Inkle Weaving, and small loom […]

2 new books from Sterling

A few days ago, a small but hefty box arrived. In it, were copies of

100 Purses to Knit & Crochet
I have one design in 100 Crochet Projects:

Hey! I just noticed that it’s on the back cover! Kewl!
I love this vest.

Knit.1 Summer 2007

Last week, I received my copy of Knit.1 Summer 2007.

I designed 5 pillows for this issue:

Some of them are knitted. Some are crocheted.
They’re all fun.
:)  Pillows are good.

Bugsy and the tagging meme game

Oh my.  I was the source of new learning for the wizards of the wave at b5 central!
Last week, I wrote an entry about being tagged in the meme game that is currently orbitting the blogosphere.
And, I couldn’t figure out why the heck I kept getting a ‘404 - this doesn’t exist’ message when the […]
