I didn’t much like the shuttle that came with the loom, as it feels harsh to my hand. When I was looking at it, I suddenly had the image of it being […]

Yes, I realize that’s not a large demographic - but these are such great photos that I had to post them.
Cakeyvoice has knitted the entire cast of George Romero’s “Dawn of the Dead“… and then re-enacted the movie here.

I was going to write a post about the different things you can do with raw silk tussah or silk hankies… but since I can’t post photos - that would be kind of boring!

Flat crocheted, woven, knitted or spoolknitted dolls are fun embellishments on vests:
Vests are one of my most favorite garments to make and wear………. and I teach really fun workshops on how to make one of a kind vests, so you can have unique vests, too!
hugs all round

I just heard from someone who is having a hard time finding pretty patterns for crocheted or knitted hats, especially for little girls. I’ve done some sleuthing online and have found some free patterns!
Here’s an “Addison” hat, with shell stitches.
A Rose is a Rose….
I had to post this just for the cute factor: the Kitty […]

Graph paper is a fantastic tool, as long as you can find the right size & proportion for your project! I just recently came across this fantastic website for a free PDF graph paper generator. All you need to do is type in your requirements, and voila! Printable graph paper.

There’s another way to make the paper doll template to be the starting point for making a flat freeform crocheted doll.
Lay some household objects onto graph paper, making the shape of a person:
Trace around it:
Glue it to lightweight cardboard and cut it out:

Please NOTE: All […]
