A Game of Tag

One of my crochet buddies, Vashti,

just tagged me, so it’s time to tag along!

I started by tagging my cat….. who finds this basket - no matter where I move it in the studio, and curls up and sleeps in it:

Here are the rules of the game:

“Each person tagged gives seven random facts about themselves. Those tagged need to write in their blogs seven facts, as well as the rules of the game. You need to tag seven others and list their names on your blog. You have to leave those you plan on tagging a note in their comments so they know that they have been tagged and need to read your blog.”

Seven random facts about me:

1: I love making lists.

2: One of my favorite ways of listmaking allows me to get to sleep at night, when my mind is on ‘hyper-drive’. Turning on the light would be a big drag for Jim (and the cat and dogs, too :D ) So, when I can’t get to sleep, because I am running multiple thought lines all at once, and don’t want to blast my Sweetiepie with a flash of light, I just use my ‘remembering list’. It’s a visual ‘hook’ system.

One is the Sun (imagine the Sun doing something with the thing you are trying to remember)

Two is a Shoe (imagine a shoe with the next thing to be remembered sitting in or on the shoe)

Three is a Tree

Four is a Door

Five is a Hive

Six is a bunch of Sticks

Seven is Heaven

Eight is a Gate

and if I have nine things to remember, I just give up, and slink out of bed and go do them.

3: I am an insomniac. Always have been. Working on changing it…. but……. I am an insomniac…… did I mention that I don’t get enough sleep? zzzzzzzzz

4: I am allergic to mosquitoes, and the nasty little boogers are swarming right now, and I just got bitten. grrrrrrrrr. Here in my own little studio! on the foot! I hate mosquitoes.

5: Speaking of mosquitoes, last February, when I was sick of winter, I designed a

crocheted mosquito finger puppet

What was I thinking?

6: I love metaphors. Most of my dollmaking is based on metaphor.

7: I love dictionaries. And words. And Scrabble.

8: I love laughter…… oh wait a minute…. I was supposed to stop at 7, wasn’t I?

9: I love the number 7, even if I have to go to 8 or 9 to say so.
